What is MTG Arena Brawl?

Brawl is a 100-card singleton Commander format for Magic: The Gathering Arena. You choose a legendary creature or planeswalker as your commander, then build a deck of exactly 99 other cards (no duplicates except basic lands), all within your commander's color identity.

The deck rules

A Brawl deck is exactly 100 cards: 1 commander plus 99 others.

Singleton: every non-basic card may appear only once. You can run any number of basic lands.

Every card must fall within the commander's color identity (the colors in its mana cost and rules text).

Games are 1-on-1, and your commander starts in the command zone so it's always available.

Commander & color identity

Your commander is a legendary creature or planeswalker. Its color identity sets the colors your whole deck may use.

A Golgari (black-green) commander, for example, can only run black, green, and colorless cards; no blue, white, or red.

Brawl vs Historic Brawl

Both are 100-card singleton commander formats. They differ only by card pool.

Brawl uses the rotating Standard-legal pool; Historic Brawl uses the full, non-rotating Arena pool.

Kiln builds legal, balanced decks for either format; pick a commander and forge.
